About

My work is mainly figurative.

I practice direct carving, enjoying the process of finding the form within a piece of stone and creating a piece with tactile qualities and the essence of the subject.

Drawing from life is an essential element of my practice also. I use charcoal for my life drawings as this is a very versatile and sensitive medium.

I also make drawings using colour and mixed media.

I made the black and white illustrations for Breathing Underwater by Julia Green,  Bloomsbury Publishing, 2009.
